CURIOS
A short visual story about a young circus girl who is enchanted by the mystery within the magician's hat; she sneaks into the hat at night to see what's inside.
PROCESS
I was given the task of picking a word ( Curios ) and developing a concept around it. I came up with several scenarios and narrowed them down to the perfect idea using a mind map. The story takes place at night in a circus, where the young girl is taken away by what happens during the day when the magician pulls out all sorts of things from his magic hat.
I relied on lighting to catch the excitement and eagerness to know and discover by focusing on the story's subjects. I used the 3D software Maya; blocking the scenes and experimenting with lighting and camera angles until finding what best work for the story.
