THE WOODEN TOYS
The Wooden Toys is a hypothetical toy company dedicated to restoring the minds of the next generation by removing them from technological devices that limit their creativity and providing them with tools to reconstruct and feed their imagination.
PROCESS
Wooden toys are considered a historical artifact that no longer exists, but I decided to capitalize on that in this piece by referencing 19th-century posters. Characters interact with products in these posters, altering the reality of their proportions, which fits in well with the concept of wooden toys stimulating children's imagination.
Since this project's theme referenced 19th-century posters, it seemed natural to tie the writing to that. I wrote sentences aimed at parents, demonstrating how their children crave wooden toys and how choosing wooden toys is a move toward a brighter future.
